Doggie paradise? We think so..at least in our humble opinion! We are lucky enough to live in the most idylic scenery with 7 acres of our own private (securely fenced and gated) grounds including 2 separate paddocks for your dogs to roam, run around in and discover. Being part of the Roxburghe Estate we would even say that your dog(s) could be staying at a very exclusive retreat indeed and in our eyes it certainly is a true slice of heaven.

But don't just take our word for it..with uninterrupted vistas, the unpolluted air, Northumberlands' breathtaking coastline and of course the  Northumberland National Park right on our doorstep, it really is something to come and discover for yourself. We take our 'guests' on outings at least once per stay (on a visit of 5 days or more) in our air-conditioned and dog proof 4x4 - with your consent only, but without approval we stay within our own premises with plenty of space to roam and explore nonetheless.

Too good to be true? Come and see for yourself. We are approximately 1 hour away from Edinburgh and 1 1/2 hours drive from Newcastle and Glasgow, with all three destinations serving International airports. Give 'mutts & munchkins' a try and see what we can offer both you and your dog. All well behaved hounds will be welcomed with open arms, care & attention, treats, professionalism  but above all companionship & love!

Before outlining the more usual terms and conditions/house rules, it should be emphasised that all dogs at 'mutts & munchkins' will be exercised and walked on fields, riverbanks, beaches and our own grounds or in forests and woods in the vicinity of our premises, and will be living in a home environment alongside a small number of similarly socialised dogs.

Every care will be taken to ensure that the dogs are safe at all times. The welfare of the dogs in our care and the confidence of their owners are our highest priorities and these HOUSE RULES reflect those priorities.
